Aaron Yoong
Aaron is actively developing a broad commercial practice with a focus on cross-border disputes and international enforcement, with a particular interest in cases that involve complex jurisdictional and conflict of laws issues.
Aaron graduated summa cum laude from the Singapore Management University and was conferred various prizes including the University CIRCLE Award and the University Excellence Award. He was also an active mooter, achieving podium finishes the Oxford Price Media Law Moot and the Nuremberg Moot, amongst others. He was awarded the Joseph Grimberg Top Advocate Prize for his achievements in international moots.
Prior to joining private practice, Aaron served as a as a Deputy Public Prosecutor / State Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore, and was a Justices’ Law Clerk with the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Outside of practice, Aaron maintains an active interest in academia and lectures at the Singapore Management University and the National University of Singapore. His research has been published in leading journals such as the Tort Law Review and Arbitration International, and has been cited by the Singapore High Court. He is also a contributor to various publications including the Singapore Annual Review of Cases with the Singapore Academy of Law.
