Ryan Moey
Ryan graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2023 with a Double Degree in Law and Business Administration (First Class Honours), specialising in Finance. He was placed on the Dean’s List on three occasions and was awarded the Peter English Memorial Prize for Criminal Law as well as the Francis Reynolds Prize in Domestic and International Sale of Goods, reflecting his academic excellence across variedareas of legal study.
Prior to reading law, Ryan grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where his varied educational experiences fostered adaptability and self-direction. He attended a Chinese primary school and a public secondary school, and notably completed a year of his secondary education independently. This experience reflects his self-discipline, intellectual independence, and willingness to take calculated risks in pursuit of his goals — qualities that continue to shape his approach to both law and life.
Before joining Setia Law LLC, Ryan was appointed as a Justices’ Law Clerk at the Supreme Court of Singapore, where he assisted the Chief Justice, members of the Supreme Court Bench, and Judges of the Singapore International Commercial Court on complex and high-level matters. In 2025, Ryan also served as Senior Justices’ Law Clerk. He has also previously served as a research assistant and tutor at the National University of Singapore.
Ryan combines strong analytical ability with commercial insight. His background in finance and experience working with senior members of the Judiciary enables him to approach complex legal issues with both rigour and creativity. He combines analytical rigour with strategic insight to deliver innovative and commercially attuned solutions.
