Sarfaroj Malik
Sarf graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2024 with First Class Honours. During his time at university, he was placed on the Dean’s List twice and was awarded the Chandra Mohan K Nair Scholarship in 2021.
Sarf has a strong interest in advocacy and has represented his university in several moot court competitions. His achievements include reaching the semi-finals of the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (International Rounds) and placing as Second Runner-Up at the WongPartnership International Commercial Arbitration Moot. He has also demonstrated a keen interest in alternative dispute resolution, emerging as Best Mediator at the Lex Infinitum: International Dispute Resolution Competition and reaching the semi-finals of the ADC-ICC Asia-Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition. In addition, Sarf served as a research assistant for his Company Law professor at his university and as a teaching assistant for the Trial Advocacy module.
Prior to joining Setia, Sarf trained under the mentorship of one of Singapore’s leading Senior Counsel, where he assisted on complex litigation and arbitration matters, including those involving cross-border elements. He aspires to develop a practice grounded in strong advocacy and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering commercially sound solutions.
